In China, when children are found, an ad is run in the paper giving any family members opportunity to come forward to claim the child.
This is called a Finding Ad.
We were able to locate Nola's finding ad this week.
I received a print of the ad, the actual newspaper it appeared in, and a translation of the ad.
It includes her name, gender, date of birth, finding date, and the date she was taken to the orphanage.
It also lists the location where she was found, items with her and body characteristic.
It is beyond surreal to see this ad.
It may very likely be the earliest photo we ever have of her (she is close to 2 months old in the pic).
For that I am grateful.
But at the same time it is heartbreaking, for obvious reasons.

I keep wondering if any of ours is true.
